Over the course of 30 years - 20 of which Soul Rep was actively producing (a ten-year hiatus taken from 2003 – 2013) - the company accomplished the following through its 17 full seasons of productions and arts education programs:

Produced 12 New Play Festivals that PREMIERED 78 short or one act plays by 62 PLAYWRIGHTS to Dallas audiences.
Produced 65+ plays, of which:
32% were new works
40% were regional premieres
20% were family friendly children’s plays
15% were co-productions
20% were world premieres
75% of the plays produced were written by women
70% of the plays produced were written by playwrights of color
91% of the talent hired (actors, directors, designers, and stage managers) were locally based
Our Educational Impact
Provided 8 summer theater camps that served approximately 350 children
Collaborated with 3 area school districts in providing arts education services
Provided over 50 theater workshops or master classes to children, youth, and adults
Launched an innovative and impactful youth arts education program - LIBERATION LABORATORY - with a focus on social justice and inspired by the theater of the oppressed and Boal techniques
88% of children and youth served were African-American
75% of arts education programs served South Dallas or the southern sector
50% of arts education programs were FREE
